That faint tingle on your phone's metal frame, camera ring, or volume buttons during charging is not imaginary. Most compact chargers carry no live earth connection, so stray leakage current has nowhere to go — except through your hand.
With TrueGround, leakage goes to earth — not your hand

Three pins. One of them actually works.
Most compact chargers use the earth pin only to unlock the socket shutters — then leave it floating. The MOKiN GP0201 is a Class I charger, meaning its earth pin is wired directly to a live protective-earth conductor. Plug it into a properly grounded UK Type G outlet and stray current has a real path to ground — not through your fingers on a metal phone frame, camera ring, or watch case.
- Earth pin is a live conductor, not a shutter-opener
- Class I design — protective earth is physically wired
- Three-pin shape alone does not guarantee a ground connection
- Requires a properly grounded UK Type G outlet to activate
A three-pin shape is not a grounded charger. A live earth conductor is.
Most Class II chargers use that third pin only to push open the socket's safety shutters. The earth conductor inside is dead — so when leakage builds, it has nowhere to go except through the metal frame of your phone or the buttons your fingers are already touching. The MOKiN GP0201 is Class I: the earth pin is a live, connected conductor. Leakage routes to ground before it reaches you.
- Class II: third pin opens shutters, earth wire carries nothing
- Class I: earth pin is wired through — leakage has a real exit path
- Protection activates the moment the plug seats in a grounded socket
- Effective in any properly grounded UK Type G outlet

SIRIM-certified to Malaysia's national electrical safety standard
Every MOKiN GP0201 sold in Malaysia carries mandatory SIRIM certification, issued under Suruhanjaya Tenaga oversight before the product may be offered for retail sale. Certification requires independent laboratory testing to IEC 60335 and MS safety standards — covering insulation integrity, fault conditions, and leakage current limits. That process confirms the charger performs safely in the wiring conditions of a real Malaysian household, not just a controlled factory environment.
- SIRIM certification is mandatory pre-retail approval — not a voluntary badge
- Tested to IEC 60335 and MS national electrical safety standards
- Issued under Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) oversight
- Covers insulation integrity, fault conditions, and leakage current limits

Built for the devices you actually charge every day
A single USB-C port delivering up to 20W covers the devices most people charge every day: fast-charge an iPhone or Android phone, top up AirPods or earbuds between calls, keep a smartwatch running through the week, and work through an e-reader, Kindle, or camera battery without reaching for a second adapter. An iPad charges at a steady, reliable pace.
Class I vs. Class II: what you are actually buying
Most compact chargers are Class II — double-insulated, no earth connection, no third conductor. The MOKiN GP0201 is Class I, which means its earth pin is a live conductor, not a placeholder. When leakage current appears, it has a deliberate route to ground. The four rows below show what that distinction means in practice.

32 × 32 × 39 mm. Doesn't block the next socket.
At 32 × 32 × 39 mm, the GP0201 sits flush in a bag side pocket or travel pouch without creating a bulge. Plug it into one socket of a standard twin outlet and the adjacent socket stays completely clear for someone else's plug. The universal AC 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz input means it works straight from the wall whether you're home or travelling — no adapter wedge adding extra bulk.
- 32 × 32 × 39 mm — smaller than a matchbox
- Leaves the adjacent socket free in any twin outlet
- Slides flat into a bag side pocket or travel pouch with zero bulk
- Universal 100–240 V input, no travel adapter needed
TrueGround protection requires a properly grounded socket
TrueGround works by routing leakage current through a live earth conductor to ground — but that path only exists if your wall socket is properly grounded. Two-pin outlets, ungrounded three-pin sockets, and extension leads without continuous earth continuity break the path. In those conditions, protection falls back to Class II level and the earth pin carries no current. For full TrueGround protection, plug directly into a grounded UK Type G socket.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which devices will this actually fast-charge?
The 20W USB-C PD output fast-charges iPhones (8 and later), most Android smartphones, AirPods and other earbuds, smartwatches, e-readers, and camera batteries. It will charge an iPad, though at a slower pace than a higher-wattage charger. It has a single port, so it charges one device at a time.
Does TrueGround protection work in every socket I plug it into?
No — TrueGround protective-earth technology requires a properly grounded UK Type G socket. If your socket, extension lead, or travel adapter does not carry a live earth, the protective-earth path is broken and the protection does not operate. Check that your socket is grounded before relying on the feature.
What does SIRIM certification actually mean for me as a Malaysian buyer?
SIRIM approval is mandatory before a charger can be legally sold at retail in Malaysia, as required by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (the Energy Commission). It means the GP0201 has been tested against IEC 62368-1 — the international safety standard for IT and audio/video equipment — before it reached the shelf.
Can I charge a laptop or MacBook with this charger?
No. At 20W this charger is designed for phones, earbuds, smartwatches, e-readers, and camera batteries. Most laptops require 45W or more to charge at a useful rate, and MacBooks need even higher wattage — this charger is not the right tool for that job.
How is this different from the compact charger I already own?
Most compact GaN chargers are Class II — double-insulated with no protective earth. The third pin on many of them is a non-conductive moulding that only opens the socket shutters; it carries no current. The GP0201 is Class I: its earth pin is a wired conductor that gives leakage current a path to ground instead of through your fingertips.
What is in the box?
The box contains the MOKiN GP0201 wall charger. A USB-C cable is not included — use your existing cable or purchase one separately.
Will it work with my Malaysian wall sockets when I travel to the UK?
Yes. The GP0201 accepts AC 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz, so it works on Malaysian mains and on UK mains without any voltage adapter. Both use the same UK Type G socket format.
